Nik Jones Realty Merges With Quin Ballard 14th March 2007

In one of the most significant developments in the Como real estate market in recent years, two leading real estate agencies have merged to form a single company.

Nik Jones Realty and Quin Ballard Real Estate have merged and will become Jones Ballard Property Group. The new company will officially commence operations from April 1 and will operate from a centrally located office at 175 Labouchere Road, Como.

The merger brings together two of the most respected real estate principals in Western Australia.

Kareena Ballard has been a real estate agent in the Como area for the past 23 years. Kareena is a past President of REIWA and is also a past President of the Real Estate Institute of Australia.

Nik Jones is a past Chairman of the REIWA Southern Agents Group and has been awarded as a “REIWA Grandmaster” on several occasions. His family has been selling real estate in the Como area since 1979 with the family company being established as Peter Jones Realty in 1988 and operating from 2002 as Nik Jones Realty. “During the last 5 years, Nik Jones Realty has transformed from a team of three, to a firm of more than 20 staff, becoming one of the leading residential sales firms in the City of South Perth”

Kareena Ballard said that she was delighted that both companies had merged to form a single real estate agency.

“Both companies bring together individual strengths which combined will now enable Jones Ballard Property Group to provide an even higher level of service to the local community.

“In particular, Quin Ballard has developed a very strong reputation in the field of property and strata management services while Nik Jones Realty has for many years been extremely successful in residential sales and is a market leader with its Marketing and I.T systems. With a total staff of 35 people, our combined resources and skills will enable Jones Ballard Property Group to achieve a major competitive advantage in the real estate market,” she said.

Nik Jones added that the merger had been the result of discussions that had lasted more than six months.

“Both companies decided to merge because all of the directors share the same ethical ethos to our work and also because we have a long term commitment to property owners in the local area.

“This merger will ensure that we collectively will continue to have a major presence in the local real estate market because of the enhanced level of services we can offer to local residents. As a result of this merger we will have completed our long term strategy of becoming the leading ‘one stop shop’ for real estate services in Como and surrounding areas.

“Jones Ballard Property Group can now offer an unparelled level of service to clients including services such as property sales and management, strata management, project and land marketing as well as home loans and settlement services,” he said.

The new directors of Jones Ballard Property Group are Nik Jones, Kareena Ballard, Adrian Ballard, Shaun Yeo and Garry Holmes.
